A mix of genres at the heart of the collection by Glenn Martens for YY/PROJECT, with even a woman opening the show of this menswear collection. The Belgian designer takes on the basics and distorts and reforms them to create new silhouettes. The bomber jackets finished in double volume cross on the back, the trousers are worn high waisted with a loose fit, the sleeves are very worked finishing in a point at the elbow, and the sweater is offered long and asymmetrical with ties. The leather – one of the fetish materials of Y/PROJECT – is mixed with jersey for a more supple and summertime version, the denim is equally very present in all over on a close fitting top. A silhouette inspired from architecture and especially cathedrals from the city of Bruges, where Glenn Martens originates from.
