Creative director Nicola Formichetti continues to explore the Diesel archive. For his fourth Tribute Collection, the designer focuses on one of the brand’s favorite inspirations – Sport, reinterpreted in a contemporary key. Creating a young, rebellious look, Formichetti matches baggy pants and skirts, embellished with elastic bands and utilitarian chunky zips, with nylon bombers imbued with a Nineties’ feel. We see graphic color combinations of black and white, as well as bold psychedelic patterns appearing on cotton t-shirts and sweatshirts. Embodying the most authentic spirit of the Diesel brand, military references run through the collection. Cozy knits, sharp double-breasted coats and capes with fur collars, all worked in an army green tone, feature contrasting geometric details in bright shades of neon pink and electric blue. To further put his personal stamp on Diesel, Formichetti has declared London as the global hub of his new creative vision for the brand. And to commemorate this declaration, the Diesel Tribute collection will be previewed exclusively at the LONDON show ROOMS in collaboration with the British Fashion Council (BFC) until 11th March 2015 in Paris. The collection will be sold from September 2015 in selected stores worldwide.
