Pour son premier clip, le groupe franco canadien Berry Weight a fait appel à Mathieu Foucher pour ses talents de motion designers. Sur la musique douce et zen du morceau Equation, la vidéo s’ouvre comme un livre en relief et nous transporte dans son univers onirique. Au sein de celui-ci s’entrecroisent constellations végétales et jardins d’Eden. Si la vidéo cherche parfois à trop coller systématiquement aux paroles de la chanson, la qualité des animations et la cohérence graphique de l’ensemble font de ce clip une réussite tant visuelle que musicale.
For its first clip, the French/Canadian band Berry Weight called upon Mathieu Foucher for his talent of motion designers. On the sweet and zen music of the piece Equation, the video opens as a pop-up book and transports us in its dreamlike universe. Within the latter intersect constellations and vegetable gardens of Eden. If the video they sometimes seek to systematically too paste the words of the song, the animation quality and consistency of all graphics make this clip a success both visual and musical.
