La marque de vêtements italienne Diesel et le constructeur italien Fiat se sont associés pour la création en édition limitée de 10 000 unités sur le marché européen de la Fiat 500 by Diesel. Pensée par Roberto Giolito du centre de style Fiat, cette 500 by Diesel est basée sur la version Sport du modèle. Le choix des coloris est lié à la marque, mais aussi au personnage Renzo Rosso. Ainsi, le vert Diesel est le même que celui de l’hélicoptère personnel du patron de Diesel. Basée sur la version sport, la petite citadine se décline extérieurement en trois coloris, vert, noir ou brun. De plus, bon nombre d’éléments sont propres à cette version et en référence à la griffe Diesel, comme les baguettes latérales et la calandre. Les premiers exemplaires seront proposés à la vente sur internet et puis dans le réseau Fiat.

Creativity, fun and a bit of irreverence have come together once again to create the new 500 by DIESEL, a perfect synergy of Made in Italy.The creativity of the designers at the Fiat Style Centre and at DIESEL – led by Roberto Giolito and Lars Schwartz – has given form to the 500 by DIESEL. Unmistakable with its DIESEL green body, inspired by the livery of the private helicopter of Renzo Rosso (the brand’s owner), the car will also be available in two other colours, DIESEL black and brown.16″ alloy wheels and the DIESEL logo on the boot, yellow brake callipers (only on the 1.4 100 bhp version), side mouldings with the DIESEL lettering, and special cowlings for the wing mirrors, painted – like the radiator grill, bumpers and front whiskers – in satin finish steel. And to finish, there are five air intakes reproducing the characteristic detail from the cooling system on the historic 500.The interior features special DIESEL branded upholstery throughout, using denim fabric and yellow stitching. The DIESEL logo has pride of place on the instrument panel, standing out on a yellow background, and is also on the gear lever knob, while special pockets on the side of the front seats are reminiscent of the fifth pocket on DIESEL jeans.Based on the Sport version, the 500 DIESEL wil be available with all three Euro 5 Ready engines in the range (1.2 69 bhp, 1.3 Multijet 75 bhp with DPF and 1.4 16v 100 bhp), matched with 5 or 6-speed mechanical gearboxes (the petrol versions can also be fitted with a 5-speed Dualogic robotic sequential gearbox).If you are someone who always wants to express your distinctive personality, even while you are slipping through city traffic, then the 500 by DIESEL is the 500 for you.
