Ligne Blanche Paris is happy to launch in exclusive collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation four porcelain plates featuring “Marilyn”. These plates are made in France in Limoges porcelain and feature some of the most famous works of the “Pope of Pop Art” : Marilyn Monroe (1967). Andy Warhol’s series of silkscreen paintings of Marilyn Monroe followed her death in August 1962. All of his photo-silkscreened paintings and screenprints are based on the same source image of a publicity photo of Marilyn Monroe for her 1953 film Niagara. To Warhol, Marilyn represented beauty and eternal fame in American culture. These 4 plates are available in the Ligne Blanche Paris online store.
