St Germain is back. Undisputed and respected figure of electronic music for two decades, french touch pioneer, inventor of an erudite deep house, sensual and original, St Germain has always been distinguished by its art of mixing machines and instruments, roots and modernity. In this new EP, “Real Blues”, which mixes a warm and wild percussive framework with the voice of the legendary bluesman from Texas, Lightnin’ Hopkins, is brilliantly reinterpreted by Martin ‘Atjazz’ Iveson, unequalled remixer, and Terry Laid, a DJ and producer which has opened for St Germain several times. St Germain is a fusion music marked by his love for blues, jazz and black music put up with hypnotic electro loops and voice samples harmoniously interlaced. A mixed cultures trip of exceptional musicality which will be found back in a future eponymous album recorded with african musicians. Kora, balafon, n’goni and other traditional Malian instruments will come along with electric guitars, pianos, saxophones and electronic sequences like only St Germain knows how to do. Until this, the St Germain. ‘Real Blues’ Remixes EP will be available on August the 28th.
