Today we continue our exploration of emerging Japanese brands with METAPHORE. The brand was founded in 2009 by designer Daisuke Kawaguchi, who officiated before in the production monitoring. “METAPHORE” is French word that refers to metaphor in English. And the word “METAPHORE” combines the Greek words ‘meta’ (over, beyond) and ‘phero’ ( to carry). This is a way for Daisuke Kawaguchi to express his vision of fashion, which is to inspire other forms of art and thus transmit a message for each collection. It also seeks to combine aesthetics with strong functional and practical dimension, particularly in the choice of materials used. The streetwear pieces can also can be mixed with classic cuts and colors that alternate between wise marine blues and bright saturated colors.
