On 3 August the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at the end of its 129th session, deliberated for skateboarding to integrate the Tokyo 2020 Olympic program. The IOC described the choice as “the fullest development of the Olympic program in modern history. ” Skateboarding, underground art form, was born in California in the 50s, alternative to days without waves for surfers. The evolving discipline now reached its peak and will for the first time, one of the new official disciplines of the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
