Converse announces the release of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Pro OP “Ben-G” sneaker, created in collaboration with world renowned Dutch skateboard shop Ben-G. The sneaker pays homage to the shop’s co-founder Benny Komala through the symbol on the tongue which is a copy of his “sad eyes” tattoo, two stripes and a tear placed on his index finger. The CTAS Pro OP “Ben-G” is a new spin on the popular CTAS Pro that incorporates a rubber overlay, or ollie patch, for added durability and protection when skating. The upper of the sneaker is made of premium, perforated leather with a solid white outsole and toecap, with Ben-G branding on both the exterior and interior of the tongue. As is customary to all CTAS Pro models, the sneaker has a Lunarlon sockliner for enhanced cushioning and a traction rubber outsole for better board feel. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Pro OP “Ben-G” will be available in limited quantities on June 22, 2016 for at Ben-G shop and other skate retailers globally, and Converse online store.
