Will Sweeney, a rare, iconoclast and futuristic graphic artist, has accepted Red Bull’s recent invitation and brought his skills and colors to Paris. London-based, Will Sweeney is the author of the cult comic series “Tales of Greenfuzz” and the founder of Alakazam, a t-shirt and poster design house, followed by avid fans from around the world. “Citadel”, Sweeney’s brand new exhibition, revolves around an imaginary futuristic city that lies somewhere between JG Ballard and 60s American comic books. Sweeney will add the last details to this ambitious work of art in public, during an open residency at the gallery. In the meantime, Will asked his friend Robert Green to write the brochure in order to showcase all that his city has to offer, born from the realms of his mind but reminiscent of a near-future London, an urban fortress for the mega rich, public space and housing for the poor relegated to the catatcombs below or beyond the floodgates.
