Dudley O’Shaughnessy, Francisco Lachowski, Geron McKinley and Ronald Epps front the Spring 2016 campaign of Balmain, captured by the lens of Steven Klein. The Balmain campaign channels the darker, more mysterious vibe of a film noir storyboard. The campaign will debut in leading fashion titles worldwide in February 2016.
Balmain“For this season’s images, we wanted a compelling and urban feel. Steven Klein, Pascal Dangin and I decided on a car-interior set, combined with strong shadows and sharp pops of light, to suggest speed and motion. The dramatic lighting helps to highlight the collection’s richly textured offerings and the selection of models reflects Rousteing’s well-known commitment to diversity and inclusion. Every one of these models—Dudley, Francisco, Geron and Ronald—is a member of the ‘Balmain army. They have a long history with the house, having worked with us on lookbooks, shoots and runway shows. This diverse and athletic group of men reflects the look of fashion’s new generation”, explains Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing.
