With its new diving watch, Oris is involved in safeguarding largest coral in the world. After the success of the partnership in 2010, Oris renews its collaboration with the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) by offering a unique piece available at only 2000 copies. The Swiss watch company is proud to be associated with the activities of the AMCS, which it celebrates this year its 50th anniversary. The Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition II is inspired by Oris diving watches and its Aquis collection. Picking the color of the sea, this timepiece focuses on functionality and readability. Indeed, the contrast between the dark blue dial and yellow orange – reference to the color palette of the Great Barrier corail -, offers optimum readability even in the dark depths of the sea thanks to the luminescent treatment enjoyed its attributes. Water resistant to 500 meters (50 bar), the c46 mm diameter stainless steel is topped by a unidirectional rotating bezel in polished black ceramic. Oris, one of the first brands to have used this material in giving those diving watches for many years. Finally, the real instrument is equipped with a folding clasp and a patented safety anchor on the rubber strap. The Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition II will be available from February 2016, a percentage will be donated for the association.
