FrenchTrottersCarole and Clarent meet in 2003, they are both studying photography at that time. They share the same passion for art, fashion and traveling. Very inspired by their various trips to New York, Tokyo and London, they open their first shop in 2005 in Paris, in the 11th district. They call it “FrenchTrotters”, contraction of “French” and “globe-trotters”. Bringing together an exclusive selection of French, Scandinavian, American or Japanese products, this place offers an cosmopolite unusual concept in Paris. FrenchTrotters is the first multi-brand store in France to import labels such as Filippa K, Acne, Engineered Garments, Our Legacy, etc … Since 2010, FrenchTrotters is also a brand of ready-to-wear for Men and Women. The collections embody the casual chic aesthetic and atmosphere developed by the duo since their beginning. The brand is sold at FrenchTrotters and in a selection of fine shops in France and around the world. Today FrenchTrotters includes two Parisian boutiques and an online store. The first shop opened in 2005 on rue de Charonne, in the 11th arrrondissement. More recently, on rue Vieille du Temple, in the Marais, the couple opened a 200m2 flagship store gathering their selection for men and women and a space dedicated to home.
