Xavier d’Audiffret Pasquier and Pierre-Emmanuel Racine Jourdren are two childhood friends, they left their native Normandy to work in the finance but very attached to their native region they decide to invest their effort in one of the flagship products: the cider! Behind the home-made side of the cider, SASSY hides an impertinent, lively, passionate side and it is exactly its literal translation in the English-Shakespeare’s style! Wit hits disruptive spirit, SASSY advocates the return of the real taste, the touch of modernity in more. Childhood memories are above all gustative, Xavier and Pierre-Emmanuel it is obviously the cider. The castle of Sassy, Xavier’s family property situated in Normandy, is a place the tradition of the cider and the calvados is immortalized since generations. Theoretically to baptize their brand in homage to this exceptional place in charge of images, smells…and also premature ethylic experiments! The objective of the founders? Update the home-made cider, which suffers in France of an old-fashioned and strongly connoted image “soil”. On the contrary, in the Anglo-Saxon countries where both entrepreneurs lived, the “cider” is a very popular drink which knows a real success with the young generation. For the demanding palates of the frenchy the “UK cider” is far from having all the gustative qualities of the french cider, but the craze around this drink impresses our two entrepreneurs and motivate them to launch themselves into the entrepreneurial adventure and to create their own brand. This is how Pierre-Emmanuel and Xavier decide to leave Paris to come-back to Manneville la Pipard, to be as closely as possible to the best orchards and home-made know-how. And to develop an innovating product while respecting the traditions, they went into partnership with a producer of the region and to a cellar master, with whom they rediscover the recipe by being inspired by some cider wich was served in the castle of Sassy. Add to it some ideas thought well to restore desire in the urban to live simple but sophisticated pleasures, and you obtain a light and festive drink : not to be missed !
