Marché Noir has collaborated with Art Comes First on a collection. This collection is the result of a meeting between Amah Ayivi (Marché Noir / Comptoir Général), Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh, the protagonists of Art Comes First. Seeking head of Marché Noir, Amah’s stylist and vintage clothing hunter, the sandstone of his travels (Togo, Sweden …). For this collection he is associated with the unique expertise of Art Comes First creators to create an unisex clothing line. Each model is a blend of vintage pieces mixed and reworked, thanks to the artistic and conceptual vision of Art Comes First tailors. The collection Marché Noir x Art Comes First reflects the personality of the trio, their African origins, experiences, journeys, but above all sharing a similar approach to fashion and style: prime cuts and quality materials. This permanent collection doesn’t follow the seasons and is regularly enriched of the finds and inspirations of each, to create unique pieces that will come in as and develop the line of the collection. The Marché Noir x Art Comes First collection will be presented at the Comptoir Général, in September 2015. It will then be available in exclusive stores in Paris, London, Stockholm, Tokyo and South Africa.
