Discover the AEROBATIX Spring/Summer 2016 collection, presented during Paris Men’s Fashion Week on 25 June. For the summer of next year, the young brand AEROBATIX draws on the clothing vocabulary of the Air Force with delectation and offers an elegant cloakroom, falsely casual and very inspired. Faithful to its original look, this collection asserts rigorous lines and subdued cuts. The Bomber jacket maintains its prime position but gets closer to the bust, drawing a long and slim silhouette, the suave shell of a man who knows how to express his identity. Patches are at the heart of the collection. Iconic elements of the aviation, trophies and souvenirs of heroes, they become graphic elements and reinvent the classics. Sometimes obsolete, here they are brought up to the latest trend, genuine graphic principle, refined, often monochrome, with a shape that seizes all its evocative power. Embroidered, in soft leather or screen printed on fabric, the game of material and color contrasts or tone on tone blend to become more exquisite and elegant. All jackets and outerwear like windbreakers opt for sharp forms, shoulders epaulets to highlight structured lines, elastic ribs to complete the outlook, zips to always bring the shape closer to the body. Often, raised lines create a very graphical volume on the jacket through a draw cord inserted under the leather, inspired by flight jacket pockets. A lot of leather, velvet, nubuck and cotton of course, with the desire to always combine materials sometimes in contrast. Shirts in poplin or oxford are part of this graphic play, the chest pocket goes down to the waist, and the wrists create a nice gesture. T-shirts and hoodies adorned with patches and fake Velcro, graphics drawn from aviation charts, slip under jackets or appear at the waist! Pants always slim fitted, in denim or canvas, end this silhouette designed by a brisk line. Colors carry us to chic holidays, Ocean blue, yellow like the sun or ripe corn, red inspired by distant and spicy destinations; these colors are strong, dense, and also emblematic of aviation. Summer must haves a leather and navy canvas barrel backpack borrowed from military spirit and a bright leather cap with a long visor for velvet eyes… AEROBATIX and its designer, Mathieu Ventayol, pursue this creative work on the clothing inspired by aviation which renews style but certainly offers to men a refined elegance, singular, who knows that modernity is rooted in a proven past.
