Passionate about art history, It’s in 2012 that Boni Tchobé launch his brand NOIR NOIR alongside graphic designer Manaré Coly. Lead by Art Déco (Decorative Art) influences, thei ambition is to lay Art outside of museums throughout fashion. For Fall / Winter 2015 NOIR NOIR is no exception to the rule and proposes the collection “Rugged Rugs”. In this collection, NOIR NOIR explores the universe of Medieval tapestries and Persian ruggs, reinterpreting embroidered landscapes, silk portrait of mythological scenes or reverted Persian ruggs from the XIXth century. The new collection honors these hand-made arts and their connections throughout time and space, colors and compositions.
