While he was wondering where to put his locker keys before his usual jogging, Bob Gamm had the idea of a shoes and a pocket. That’s how KangaROOS was born in 1979. Quickly, the idea met a franc success and in 1983 the brand started to export its sneakers in Europe. Besides being one of the first brand to sponsor star marathon runners, basketball icons, football legends, and hockey teams, KangaROOS has attracted attention by developing itself like a real “lifestyle” brand with many technological innovations. In 1987, the brand has revolutionized the market with its DYNACOIL technology, made in collaboration with NASA, offering an amortization technic which has been adopted by professional sportsmen. Despite its numerous evolution through the year the brand has stay truthful to its roots thank to two unchanged elements : the pocket in the tongue of the shoe and the kangaroo label on the side of the shoe. Today, KangaROOS’s sneakers are available in many colors and silhouettes and are still convincing with their look and attractive price.
