Eastpak unveils a new episode of its series A DAY WITH, and present the portrait of Shinichi Ogawa, urban architect born in 1955 in Yamaguchi, Japan.
EastpakShinichi OgawaAfter received a B.F.A from Nihon University, College of Art, Shinichi Ogawa made an awarded scholarship in Washington State University, to head later at Paul Rudolph and Arquitectonica’s architectures offices in New York. After few years abroad, he established his own office as Shinichi Ogawa & Associates in Tokyo and Hiroshima in 1986, attending to realize his own vision of architecture through his conceptual philosophy « Minimal is Maximal ». Shinichi Ogawa is also a notorious professor at Kinki University school of Engineering in Japan, and a visiting professor at Edinburgh College or Art / School of Architecture in UK. Shinichi Ogawa was awarded several times for his architectural works, including the DuPont Corian Design Competition Grand Prize, or the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AWARD in 2007.
