Dr. Martens has launched two pairs of boots designed specifically for motorcycle riders. Both the high leg Garrick model and shorter Faris boot are CE approved and made from full grain water-resistant leather. They also benefit from ‘soft, oiled industrial greased leather’ on the inside to avoid scratching from the bike. They are fitted with a waterproof membrane and a breathable moisture wicking lining. Both boots come with a gear changed pad on the toe; a full length, water resistant zip, adjustable buckles, and a Nitrile rubber slip resistant sole. The Garrick model has D30 impact protection inserts positioned over the ankle bone and shin area. On impact, the inserts are designed to become rigid, so as to absorb impact energy and reduce the force transmitted to the rider.
