The history of the Maison MONTAGUT began in 1880 and is one of a family business is the south of France that the love of quality and French elegance. Rooted in Auzène valley near St Sauveur de Montagut. She was originally specialized in silk products including silk stockings, until the Second World War. Following the shortage of silk and the difficulties encountered in this area after the war, the brand gradually reoriented to other knitted products, pullovers and polo shirts. She developed in the 1960s a new material, Fil Lumiere, which met with great success. Today the brand has always specialized in fine mesh but also creates garments made of high quality and noble materials such as cashmere, silk or the famous Fil Lumiere thread. Over the seasons, the Maison MONTAGUT was able to renew and propose new subtle and refined creations where games materials and innovations live in perfect harmony.
