Initially shoe store made in Japan, mita sneakers became over time one of the most recognized sneaker stores in Tokyo. In 2015, the Japanese shop teamed up again with ASICS for the first of 12 collaborations planned throughout the year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Gel-Lyte III model. This Gel-Lyte III “Torico” combines materials and details used on five previous collaborations. Blue, white and red colors adorn the sneaker  while the mesh pattern of the topstitching on the tongue recalls the signing of Japanese shop. This unique version also draws inspiration from another model: Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 and emblematic colors. The collaboration is limited to 1990 pairs worldwide, in reference to the date of the original launch of the Gel-Lyte III. Available now at colette, Rice and Beans, BlackRainbow and Le Rayons Frais.
