A rendez-vous in the completeley new building in the Philharmonie of Paris for the new KENZO Fall/Winter 2015 collection. Each season, the KENZO show is worth a trip, firstly for the choice of location and atmosphere that comes out of it. Today, the meeting for the masculine collection was in a completely new building in the Philharmonie of Paris that just opened their doors. Inside, the pouffes and coloured benches were aligned in long glass bays to show off the boys…And for next winter, it’s all about protection, comfort and functionality. The huge, enveloping parkers are made in waterproof nylon. The knitwear was treated in a multitude of ways – tie dyed, mixed, and in patchwork – and is found especially on jackets and jumpers that take the codes of KENZO with printed collages and messages of tolerance and love. Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, as artistic directors, put community spirit forward as the focus. A great success once again, wearing KENZO is easily recognisable through the very visual and urban pieces, which give off a “cool attitude”. To note: the colourful utility boots and knitted hand warmers.
