Roberto Cavalli closes Milan Fashion Week with a collection that wants to be baroque, shown in a succession of living rooms in an Italian palace. The designer stays true to his animal prints which are his trademark but he reinterprets them in a less literal way. The luxury is felt through the mink coats by astrakhan trimmings. The tuxedo jackets are braided in leather and are worn with a skinny jean for a more rock attitude, the true signature of the label. A label that might be, according to the rumours, sold to an Italian group. Roberto Cavalli is avoiding the topic, preferring to express himself with the news which recently shook France, by showing his sincere support. Certain slogans were displayed across the clothes “no boundaries” and “empathy” testify that there should be no boundaries, and that the freedom of thought is still essential!
