After having injected a breath of fresh air into the women’s line last October, Jil Sander artistic director Rodolfo Paglialunga tackles the men’s side. He reworks the company’s minimalist ideals with a touch of softness, and takes inspiration from the pragmatism of work-wear. Tinted sprayed colour constructs the whole of the wardrobe, and the materials ensure an impeccable execution. It’s all in the detail with a set of double belts for a coat, or a strip tightening the base of a pair of trousers. The polo-necks were worn with a jumper tucked into baggy large trousers. Marine blue was the base of the winter colour palette, and featured touches of saffron, red, and rust. Classic pieces were revisited such as a pinstripe shirt jacket decorated with knitwear collars and cuffs. The longline refined silhouette’s beautiful look puts emphasis on the luxurious materials and textures. To note: The robust, futuristic orange shoes.
