New Balance teamed up with London based shop Footpatrol on a version of the M1500 ‘Made in England’ model. This new shoe is inspired by Britannica Encyclopædia , which was published in fifteen editions from 1768 to 2012. The upper part of the sneaker dressed in black leather and suede, accented by gold details can be seen embroidered on the tongue, the ‘1500’ logo situated on the lateral heel. The inner sole is white with an anatomical illustration of the human foot. The insole takes elements from some of the content found in the Encyclopaedia, in an off white colour with an anatomical illustration of the human foot. The off white midsole references the pages once more with the gum coloured outsole adding the final touches to the shoe. Finally the vibrant Red New Balance logo situated on the heel and the outsole is a nod to both the bookmarker found in the reference book and the flagship colour used on the NB logo. The Footpatrol x New Balance M1500FPK “Encyclopædia” will be available from January 24 at Footpatrol.
