Jonathan Anderson breaks the codes in his new masculine collection.A particular man at J.W. Anderson. The English designer Jonathan Anderson likes to confuse and to surprise. His masculine wardrobe reveals plenty of surprises, starting with the coats three quarters in delicate materials and with large visible, ceramic buttons, paired with very long trousers, that are finished open at the ankles and worn high waisted. Short jackets in shearling or in leather remind us of very seventies silhouettes, but the designer breaks the codes very quickly. The nappa leather takes on colour, the shirts are finished with ultra long cuffs, the tops are worn close fitted some with a kind of elastic band around the waist. To note: the XXL white scarves ending with fringing, the ultra soft mohair generally used for making teddy bears, and Anderson’s inspiration referred to the “pataphysics”…
