Misericordia realizes a key piece in its Fall/Winter 2014 collection: a “Charonne” t-shirt and sweatshirt. A tribute to the street, the neighborhood, the community, one that has welcomed the brand in 7-9 rue de Charonne, Paris where they opened their shop in 2013 Available now in the Parisian boutique and online.

These sweatshirts and t-shirts are also a tribute to 9 dead protesters in police brutality, February 8, 1962 in Charonne metro station in Paris. They were demonstrating against the war in Algeria and the violence of the OAS. Maurice Papon, the Paris police chief at the time, had given orders for the deadly repression by the French police. This act was called “State Massacre.”
