MËTSA, Rennes wooden eyewear designer and PHENÜM combine their creativity to edit 2 sunlasses. To ethical and ecological approach, the creations are made from FSC certified wood to promote responsible forest management. The sunglasses combine comfort, design, functionality and art. The first pair of sunglasses called PÜR, was made with Zebrano wood and carved undulations imagined by designer Julio Ificada in a vintage inspiration. The case also follows this process, revealing minimalist and moving graphics. The second pair of sunglasses entitled The OUTSIDER was made in bamboo, takes a timeless form revisited by the Breton artist L’Outsider. The frames are carved from a graphical composition pseudonym on one side and the other named PHENÜM then painted black by hand to play contrasts with preserved bamboo parts. The bamboo case is carved with a geometric frame, inspired by buildings in Tokyo, designed by L’Outsider, then varnished. Both are equipped with solar tinted polarized lenses provide maximum comfort and sun protection. Made in a limited edition of 30 copies for PÜR and 40 copies for the OUTSIDER. Available now in PHENÜM online store and in 5 stores in France: Réforme in Rennes, Dezert Point in Quimper, California Concept Store in Nantes, L&J Store in Biarritz and Tilt in Brest.
