Gap presents the third collection realized in collaboration with the Best New Menswear Designers In America, discerned by GQ since 2007. Each year, four designers are selected by Jim Nelson, GQ’s editor in chief, Jim Moore, Creative Director, and GQ’s fashion writers. Brooklyn Tailors, En Noir, John Eliott + Co et M.Nii collections has been chosen and will be sell in Gap’s 1,700 stores worldwide and on www.gap.eu. Daniel Lewis, the Brooklyn Tailors’s designer, finds his inspiration with his favorite bands, like the Rolling Stones, and gives us a collection made with classical adjusted clothes and a strong rock accent. The En Noir collection, made by Rob Garcia, revisited basics as tank-top and joggings, but with leather. The collection is an incarnation of the monochromatic minimalism. In his collection, John Elliot is focusing on layering and offers slime shapes. Finally, John Moore recreate the original spirit of M.Nii, an hawaiian workshop, and draws retro swimsuit, T-shirts and pants. The large large of style fully answer to the expectation of the discerned price thanks to a collection which is seen by Tony Kretten, Gap men clothes vice-president designe, like a collection “which has succeed to to grab each designers’s own speciality but also to stay loyal to the Gap’s casual american style”.
