SUPRA has teamed up with sneaker retailer, Hanon, to create a limited edition release of the premium runner-inspired Owen and Owen mid. The collaboration pays tribute to Hanon’s Scottish roots by referencing the region’s reputation for crafting exceptional single malt whisky in each of the shoe’s design. The first of the SUPRA x Hanon partnership is the Black Label Owen Mid. Referencing the whisky making legend of “The Angel’s Share”—the 2% of whisky that evaporates during the distillation process—the Black Label Owen Mid is composed of black suede with scotch-inspired malted barley accents with an additional nod to Hanon’s Scottish roots in the form a full tartan padded interior lining. In keeping with “The Angel’s Share,” the Black Label Owen Mid is an extremely limited run of 50 hand numbered pairs and will be available exclusively from Hanon and online. The second shoe of the collaboration is the Whisky Gold Owen executed in a rich, malted barley “Scotch” colorway of premium suede with a full tartan padded interior. Gold leaf SUPRA and Hanon branding completes the “Special Reserve” theme with accents adorning opposing heels and soles. 500 pairs of the Whisky Gold Owen are avaible at Hanon and online, SUPRA stores and selected retailers worldwide.
