The British fashion designer Paul Smith launches 531, a new cycling-specific line created exclusively for online shop MR PORTER. The line includes a pair of sunglasses with black frames with orange mirrored lenses, a long-sleeved Merino wool t-shirt, a cotton shorts, a lightweight cotton jacket, a cycling cap, socks, a cotton-canvas backpack, a stainless steel chronograph watch and a flagship piece, a fixed-gear bicycle, result of collaboration between Paul Smith and the British bike manufacturer Merican. The bike is handmadea lightweight matte-black steel frame and fitted with a range of custom high-end kit including a handmade Fizik saddle, Mavic Ellipse wheels, Nitto handlebars, customised Campagnolo chainset, Izumi chain and Continental tires.
