For its Spring/Summer 2014 capsule collection, LACOSTE L!VE teams up with the french artist Sanghon Kim, as a director and illustrator. On the occasion of a highly sporty forthcoming summer, Sanghon Kim directed a short animation film themed around football, in which players of the white team proudly sport a unique jersey, adorned with a reinterpreted crocodile crest. This collaboration has drawn inspiration from 1980’s Japanese sport mangas, and created a new collection of 10 references for men and women. The emblem, number 27 print and splatter pattern form the leitmotiv of this capsule. The main piece in the mens collection is inspired by the 1980’s football jersey, as worn by the main characters in the animation film. This polyamid micro-piqué polo shirt features a scarlet red V on the chest, right under the multicolor splatter pattern. The crest is placed on the chest, while the number 27 sits on the back. Mens collection includes 3 cotton piqué polo shirts : one white and one ink blue, both adorned with multicolor collars, plus one tricolore polo shirt (blue/white/red) with contrasted ribbed cuffs and the crocodile crest, 2 white cotton tee-shirts : one with the print inspired by the animation film and the other with the team emblem, and a ink blue sweatshirt with the splatter pattern underlined by a red stripe. The main features in the girls collection are a polo shirt and a tank top with number 27 printed in the front, plus two plain and indented collar polo dresses featuring the crest on the chest. A unisex jersey cap featuring the inkwell splatter pattern accessorizes this capsule collection.
