This year Packer Shoes celebrate the 10th anniversary of setting up shop in Teaneck, New Jersey. To celebrate the this anniversary the shop will realize many special projects. The first of them is a collaboration with ASICS in the form of the original 1993 classic GEL-Kayano Trainer. Found just a stone’s throw away from both Interstate 95 and State Highway Route 4, Packer Shoes is an easy stop for travelers headed in all different directions. This installment of the Packer Shoes x Asics GEL-Kayano Trainer takes its inspiration from various elements of the roads and highways. Features include an asphalt-inspired tonal speckling on the dark charcoal pigskin suede of the upper (a treatment never before used on an Asics model), as well as breathable black heavy gauge mesh windows, an orange neoprene ankle collar and reflective 3M accents on the back. Additional accents include an interstate green outlined ASICS logo original TPU overlay for added support with yellow and black accents along the midsole. The Packer Shoes x Asics GEL-Kayano Trainer “All Roads Lead to Teaneck” will be available on January 31st both in Packer Shoes store and online.
