Vans teamed up with Della, a socially-responsible LA-based company employing more than 50 women in the developing villages of Ghana (West Africa), to design a collection of shoes and accessories for men and women for Spring 2014. This collection uses the process of artisanal production called “local batik”. New printed can be found on classic models Sk8-Hi Reissue, Era, Authentic, Sk8-Hi Slim but also two new exclusive models, a wallet and a bracelet. The fabrics are very colorful and inspired by the landscapes and culture of Ghana. The vivid shades of blue, yellow, red, green symbolizing the shores and flora found in the Volta. Prints are always tricolor in shades of pink, magenta and purple and embody all the passion put into the hand manufacture of these materials. This limited edition capsule collection is now available on the Vans website and at select retailers brand.
