After “An Ode to Tartan“, Lyle & Scott joins again with the production company White Label to create another short film presenting their “Fairisle” collection. The script, written by the legendary Stuart Cosgrove refers to Fair Isle poems from the 17th century written by the great island poet George Mackay Brown. The small Fair Isle island located off the coasts of Scotland and has its own golf course located in an untamed wild landscape. The island is characterized by its traditional knitting technique consists of several colors and patterns. It is this story that inspired the Fall/Winter 2013 collection of the brand. Clever and mysterious, this pattern reveals secrets. In fact, if you look closer you can clearly see the message of encouragement of Walter Lyle “A good job means more work” and “Lyle & Scott” written in Braille. The integration of expressions and statements were common in the manufacturing process of the time.
