For some, it was the Queen of Disco. If Michael Jackson shook the pop and soul by James Brown, Donna Summer was for its part a true dancefloor professional, led by its producer, the legendary Giorgio Moroder. Thus the announcement of his death in May 2012 immersed the whole music industry in mourning. And if at the time most artists have paid tribute to one who has sold over 140 million records worldwide, today is the music they want to celebrate the American singer. To do this, a remix compilation entitled “Love To Love You Donna” meets the greatest remixers. This project include the legendary producer Giorgio Moroder’s entirely re-imagined version of “Love to Love You Baby,” originally recorded in November of 1975; Afrojack’s take on “I Feel Love,” and indie electro artists Hot Chip’s interpretation of “Sunset People.” Also included are remixes of “Hot Stuff” by Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kuppe, Laidback Luke’s remix of “MacArthur Park” and more. Check out the video for the remix “Love Is In Control (Finger On The Trigger)” by Chromeo & Oliver…
