Few months after New York, Los Angeles and London, GANT Rugger will open next August 26 its first Parisian boutique at 116 Rue Vieille du Temple. The boutique, so American butcher’s shop, was imagined by Christopher Bastin, Creative Director of the brand since 2009. Inspired by his two passions, fashion and cuisine, he mixes white tiles, wooden shelves, vintage furniture and copper pans hanging on a butcher’s block. The gross floor and brick walls present in the original architecture of the building have been preserved and provide the space a contemporary charm. We also find the iconic objects of the brand in the store including handmade knives and aprons in denim reminiscent of the spirit of the New York kitchen. In this cosmopolitan decor displays contemporary and timeless Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Chinos, knit sweaters and classic woven shirts brought honor to the American heritage of the brand. They combine with fitted suits, sophisticated but casual and with pieces of various influences – workwear, military or sartoriales – made of innovative materials. In addition to the collection, we find at the store, This is a cookbook: recipes for real life by Max and Eli Sussman, a book of modern urban kitchen selected by Christopher Bastin which proves that, far from being just a label mode, Gant Rugger testament to a lifestyle.
