140 years ago, was born one of the most iconic and timeless pieces of fashion: Levi’s 501 jeans. When Levi Strauss and tailor Jacob Davis teamed up in 1873 to work on a pair of pants with back pockets rivets, for workers of the Great West, they would never have predicted its impact on modern culture and fashion. 140 years later, it is even more popular and fashionable than it has ever been. Political actors and personalities, to the farmers of Texas, fashion icons, businessmen or people lambda, the cultural influence of Levi’s 501 has been defined by the people who wear it. No other piece was also worn, loved, was reinvented as the Levi’s 501. As a unique symbol of individuality but the 501 is the heyday of an expression of personal style, worn by pioneers who have shaped our world, generation after generation. To celebrate this historic anniversary, Levi’s launched a line of 501 non-denim in new colors, including mineral red, the blue chalk, the ivy green as the true chino for the first time earlier this year. Discover in video tribute to 501 showing how it is introduced into the cultural landscape of the world.
