Last April 25th, the trendy Pigalle nightclub Calamity Joe hosted the last Get Dirty gig, organized by the shoe brand Converse. After The Raveonettes, British collective Breton, the band invited for this 3rd edition was the crazy Atlanta-based «flower punk» band, The Black Lips. After a DJ set by Topper Harley, the resident DJ of Paris best rock-bar La Mécanique Ondulatoire, The Black Lips played an energic set during 45 minutes in front of a jumping and excited crowd. The fans were gratified with the Black Lips hits and few surprises. The show quickly went «dirty», proving that Converse has the secret to create a «rock’n’roll» ambiance. Unlucky fans of Black Lips and Converse have until May 4th to meet the «Get Dirty» atmosphere at Converse-19YT, the Converse pop-up store installed at 19 rue Yves Toudic in Paris.
