PPR, the French holding which owns several luxury fashion brands, like Saint-Laurent, Gucci or Alexander Mc Queen for example, becomes Kering from the 18th of june 2013. The new name comes from « caring », as a desire to be more international, but also from « ker » which in Breton means « home », as a reminder of the origins of the group in the Brittany region of France. This new name is the outcome of the transformation of their business in a more cohesive form, refocused on fashion, in a willing to be closer to their brands. To promote their new image they made a collaboration with the french blogger Garancé Doré. During several months she travelled all over the world to meet all the artistic directors, managers, craftsmen… etc of the different brands, to tell the relationships between Kering and their brands. All this results to a serie of five videos, around five themes (the first one is already available):
1/ Family 2/ Nurture 3/ Creation 4/ Liberation 5/ Sustainability
Follow their facebook fan page to be informed each time a new video is available.
