For its Fall/Winter 2013 collection, Ben Sherman challenged itself to embrace the one of a kind atmosphere of the industrial townships of Northern England during the 1950’s and the following decades. This region was indeed often described as warm and welcoming, despite struggling with profound difficulties. So as to convey this duality, this collection’s pieces are adorned with multiple kinds of fabric and material, ranging from jacquards to leather and including shearling collars, heavy Melton and corduroy. The color palette is also very wide and faithful to the brand’s tints of predilection: blue comes in a variety of shades, and is surrounded by Bordeaux, sage green, powder yellow as well as rosewood.
