Gabriel & Gabriel galerie presents « Extended » the exhibit of Gwenaël Salaün until 23rd of March. The artist display a selection of his work, on the first floor stands big colorful canvas and on the basement stands more sober and little canvas. Gwenaël Salaün have a very personal way to paint, close to Basquiat but more actual, more real. His paintings are alive, vibrating, we can feel the violence of the street, the violence of the world or maybe his interior violence. All is thrown on the canvas, spread, doodled, smeared and we can catch behind, like a hope, some parts painted very carefully, almost like a photography. But maybe it’s just a way to show us the reality even more real.
