For Spring/Summer 2013, the GANT by Michael Bastian collection draws its inspiration from the Galapagos Islands, the rugged and beautiful volcanic islands in the Pacific to the west of Ecuador, which sowed the seeds for Charles Darwin’s theories of evolution. This idea gave the collection its overall feeling of exploration, tempered with the rugged technical elements necessary for survival. We also included references to archipelago’s South American heritage – mainly expressed through colors and patterns seen in indigenous textiles. Check out the campaign video of this collection.
