Sergeant Paper hosts from November 27 to December 1, the exhibition Very Fake Store by Cyril le Van, in coproduction with agency Propos d’Artistes with the participation of Dedicate magazine. Very Fake Store is designed as a fake space where Cyril le Van doesn’t try to magnify the real but to question the violence of the links between society and people. Cyril Le Van photographes from all angles adidas T-shirts, Nike sneakers, Repetto shoes, Rolex watchs, Vuitton bags… then print those on a rigid support and finally recreate those objects with vulgar stitches or disgraceful staples. Then, you have a new object, fake but extremely attractive… Such a beautiful Nike shirt finally allowed to be hanged on a wall, without complex. By the occasion of this event and with an exceptional scenography, Cyril le Van will present some brand new pieces like a ghetto blaster and polaroid cameras. Cyril le Van will also signs his first collaboration with Sergeant Cotton with a production of a T-shirts series especially created for the new brand, textile fiber of Sergeant Paper.
