Until 1 December 2012, the Galerie Brugier-Rigail hosts the exhibition The Real Crash by John Matos Crash. Crash or John Matos is a graffiti artist, he was born in the Bronx Oct. 11, 1961. It is one of the main protagonists of the aerosol art. It starts very young graffiti on trains in New Yorkers before practicing on the canvas. He joined in 1983 the Sidney Janis Gallery before its entry into the world’s largest collections of the MOMA in New York at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. It appears to the public in co-producing with Keith Haring advertising campaign Peter Stuyvesant. Rich brilliant colors, his works are emerging as a pure product of the contemporary world. Crash is in perfect descent of Pop Art and climbed again this alleged subculture to the rank of “high art”.
