The french bycycle brand, B’TWIN had the the crazy idea of transforming a cyclist into a pedestrian in one second. To do this, design teams have observed and listened users around the world to develop their bike. Thus was born TILT, the bike that folds and unfolds in one second. The TILT is a break from convention with daring design, which strikes a balance between technical prowess and customer demands. Its tight lines and fun framework are inspired by 1980s pinball machines. B’TWIN wanted to reinvent the folding bike genre creating a resoundingly modern, good-looking bike that would make its riders even more mobile. The B’TWIN TILT is a truly versatile urban bike that rides as smoothly as its “larger” counterparts, and yet “shrinks” in less time than it takes to explain how. The TILT range has a unique, ultra-fast folding based on frame and stem hinges known as “Pop Up” (patented). And that’s not the only innovation. The TILT also has incredibly simple adjustment systems such as the “EasyClamp” (patented), “Light’In” lights built in to theframe, and “Cleanride” dirt-free transmission thanks to the exclusive frame shape and a drive belt (Tilt 7 and 9). Finally, with “Fold ‘N’ Roll” geometry, you only need to carry it when absolutely necessary, as, when folded, you can roll it around like a suitcase. The TILT comes in 3 models and 8 colours and will be available November 30, 2012.
