The sneaker takes its inspiration from an amphibious tactical boot used by the US Navy SEALS, the OTB Abyss II. The Concepts x New Balance SEAL features stain resistant microfiber suede, ballistic mesh and ultra-breathable nylon panels. Some details also recall the “marine” as Morse code on the tongue and the nautical chart printed on the inside of this pair of 999.
