De nouveau, nous nous sommes rendus au Royal-Monceau. Si vous n’avez pas les moyens de dormir là-bas, ou y faire un tour pour découvrir l’incroyable decoration de Starck, il vous reste une excellente raison de vous y rendre. Bienvenue dans la galerie d’art de l’hôtel, Art District, où différents projets ont été présentés déjà dont une exposition Picto, mais aussi Dennis Hopper. Nous y étions Mercredi soir pour découvrir le travail de Guy Le Querrec. Artiste du moment, il ne travaille jamais sur un terrain préparé, il part se balader armé de son appareil se laissant porter par les rencontres. Son image mythique des éléphants devant la Tour Eiffel reflète une véritable scène à laquelle il a assisté : il saisit alors ce moment magique où ces animaux de cirque faisaient une ballade parisienne. Le Querrec travaille aussi beaucoup sur l’univers du backstage des concerts de jazz. Mais je ne vous en dévoile pas plus, je ne voudrais pas vous gâcher le plaisir de découvrir ces moments surprenants.

Once again, we went to the Royal-Monceau. If you don’t want to sleep there, or visit it to discover the beautiful decoration and the works of art in the rooms, you can still enjoying art. Welcome to the Art District, the hotel gallery, after many great projects such as Picto, Dennis Hopper, you can know see some works or Guy Le Querrec. He always works on the moment, no preparation, no stage sitting. He always went on a walk, waiting for something to happen in front of him. And we can say he has been very lucky, or very talented. The elephants in front of the Eiffel Tower were those from a circus, they were crossing in front of the Trocadero. Le Querrec was a big fan of jazz where he loved to stay with the artists during their preparation, giving a great testimony of an era. But I won’t tell you more, I don’t wan’t to reveal you all the treasures you’ll find at the Art District Gallery until the 31^st of March.
