DJ Mehdi, de son vrai nom Mehdi Favéris-Essadi a été DJ du groupe Different Teep (ex-groupe de Manu Key, Mista Flo & Lil Jahson) puis d’Ideal J et donc ancien membre du collectif Mafia K’1 Fry. Il a été jusqu’en 2002 le producteur quasi-attitré du groupe de rap 113 et a réalisé la quasi-totalité des albums de Different Teep et Karlito. En gros, il est l’un des pères fondateur du hip-hop made in France.
